I don't know... is it? I can sort of understand the moronically high 
cost of CDs in Japan when I see the boxes full of MDs that friends have 
copied lying around their apartments, but I've never understood the 
high cost of CDs in the UK. What gives there?
   (Similarly, I don't understand why vinyl is so bloody expensive in 
Japan, though I suppose people keep buying it, so there isn't much 
reason to drop the prices.)
