heh heh. napster is small potatoes compared to Gnutella. just wait.

My prediction: Napster, Inc. will take advantage of this reprieve time to
make some strategic deals and concessions and try to turn the industry's
wrath against Gnutella and other peer-to-peer decentralized file sharing
technologies. But with Gnutella, etc. there's no one to sue and no one to
shut down. It's truly a people's technology. ( The funny footnote is
that Gnutella was originally coded by some programmers at Nullsoft, which
is owned by AOL. The day after the first beta version launched, AOL shut
down the project, but the source code and the protocol leaked, and now
it and tons of clone clients are everywhere... woohoo!)
