No, definitely *not* distinct numbers, but rather numbers based largely
(I'm guessing) on track times taken in sequence. It's possible, for
example, to play a copy of the John Balance benefit album, _Foxtrot_, with
a CDDB-enabled player and be told that it's some goofy folk album about
King Arthur. (At least, it *was* when _Foxtrot_ was first released... the
confusion on the Coil list was entertaining.) With the insertion of
judicious pauses, it would probably be possible to make a CD-R copy of one
album look like another, though I can't really see why anybody would bother.
