Yes, it's FINALLY happening! It's a very exciting time now at WRUW,
so I wanted to share a few notes about its web page, its heavily
anticipated power increase, and how all this affects the weekly Press
The Button program (for those who don't know what that is, a couple
folks on this list I've sent copies to said it reminded them of
People Like Us and Don's OTE show.)
The paper work is in, so the wattage is legally pumped up to half of
the promised 15,000 watts!! Soon, we'll be a full 15K, but in the
meantime we can finally be heard all over the metro and Cleveland
outskirts. This will be our first major power increase in about 30
years.
For those who aren't local, we now have a full stereo 128K mp3
stream, full stereo 56 K mp3 stream, and a mono 24 k mp3 stream found
at http://www.wruw.org.
WRUW now archives it's radio shows weekly in both 56K and 24K format,
available for streaming OR download! (recommended 56K for stereo in
terms of our show...we use tons of stereo effects.)
Additionally, I archive just about all of our shows in 24 kps stereo
via live365 but hotlinked from http://www.pressthebutton.com.
Warning: because of the 24 kps compression, the quality is poor but
the stream will be consistent...and there's so damn many of them!
I'm aware that many folks on rumori are quality buffs, so as an
alternative we can mail you high quality versions of the show on CDR
for a reasonable trade, or a couple bucks. Contact me offline if
interested.
