"Forrester analyst Jeremy Sharrard's report, "The Digital Copyright
Standoff," is based on interviews with 33 experts in digital
copyrights, including Stanford University Law School's Lawrence
Lessig and Harvard Law School's Jonathan Zittrain. The report says it
is already too late for a slow-moving music industry to quell the
tide of user demand created by Napster. The music file-sharing
service taught millions of music listeners that music on the Internet
is free, feeding them the belief that it ought to remain that way,
the report says."
