I will be sending reports of my adventures every 2 or 3 days, hopefully. It's 2 am and I'm finally feeling almost ready for the trip. I'm mostly packed. I still need to wrap up writing the talk I'll be giving in Brussels. Perhaps I can do that on the plane. Except that I was going to try to sleep on the plane. Well, it's a long flight. And it leaves in about 7 hours. At any rate, here's my itinerary, what there is of it: 18th - depart friday 19th - arriving in Brussels at 8 am. soundcheck for the event that night is in the morning. event url is: http://www.dbonanzah.org/cure/eventMay19/ I'll be staying at Maison du Dragon Boulevard Adolphe Max 146-160 1000 Brussels Phone: +32 2 218 82 15 20th - remaining in Brussels another day. hopefully i'll be at the same hotel. ( I originally was planning to go to Rotterdam and play another show, but that fell through.) 21st - 23rd - Amsterdam, at Hotel Winston. They have a pretty extensive web site: http://www.winston.nl/ maybe i'll see a punk show at their very own club next door. 24th - probably going from amsterdam to Antwerp. no lodging booked as yet. 25th - back to brussels 26th - take the Eurostar (fast chunnel train!) to London, meet friend Vicki. Will stay at her place in Sussex for 3 nights. wander london during the days. if you need to reach me there, her number is 44 ---------- (dial a 011 first from the US) 29th - fly back to SFO. other ways to reach me: good old email. I may be sending from other, web-based accounts, like steevATekno.com. Speaking of eKno, this is a pretty cool phone/email service of Lonely Planet, the travel guide publishers. you can sign up for it at www.ekno.lonelyplanet.com. It allows you make cheap international calls by calling their toll-free local access number in whatever country you're in. you can "charge" your ekno account with money on the web or over the phone. you can also leave voicemail for other people who have ekno accounts. So, if you think it's cool and you want to sign up, you can do that on the site and then leave me voicemail while i'm abroad. but remember it costs money, even to listen to voicemail (tho it's only like 4 cents a minute). But if you're into this, my ekno number is 1043144730. Okay, that's all for now. wish me luck getting over jet lag fast, and i'll have more to say soon... smh Steev Hise, Syssy Admin steevATdetritus.net http://detritus.net/steev ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Imagine America as a card table.
