i think if we're gonna try to denounce all future top 40 musical progress
we'd better define top40 first. is it just the billboard top 40 songs
according to popularity (hence, "pop" music) or is it just the cheesy love
and mush songs that made Perry Como a pop star? let's get our terms straight
here people and define what it is that is terrible.

also, add n to x and the like are hardly pop music by either definition.
thus i don't think they could count in a decade based comparison. But the
point still stands that pop music is more inclusive now than it was ten years
ago.
