Don, like I mentioned a couple times before, they already DID,
and everyone hates it, except the corporate copyright owners.
It's called the CBDTPA, introduced by Senator Hollings. It's in
Congress NOW, and if you want to help stop it, go here:

As for Bush, hey, he gets to enforce whatever Congress passes.
And Ashcroft gets to interpret it in whatever fucked-up twisted
way he wants to. The point is, if a law, even a good one by
intention, gives fascists tools to opress people, then it's a bad
law.

we don't have to wait for anything. we can actively campaign
against crappy laws, and we can discuss what would be good laws
and push for those. which is what is happening.
