Hi - I make culture. A lot of it is made from parts of other cultural artifacts. My work is in the form of films, recorded sound, sculptures, words, assemblages, collages, and performances of various sorts.
I also founded and run Detritus.net.

Current, Recent & Upcoming Activities:

  • 2006: Right now my main project is screening and distributing my new documentary, On The Edge.
  • Breaking news will be at my blog, Project Steev.
  • I went to South America for 3 months, starting in early December 2003. Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile. see this page for writings, photos, and recordings.
  • November 5, 2003: I spoke and performed at the Dorkbot Seattle meeting, which focused this time on recycled culture.
    Center on Contemporary Art, 1420 11th Ave (between Pike and Union on Capitol Hill), Seattle, WA
  • I'm concentrating mostly on video work lately, most of it what one could call "videoactivism"....
  • a review of the Illegal Art show i was in back in July03. maybe audio soon...
  • August 2: music to accompany Petr Sorfa's animation/art show at Nocturnal in Portland.
