First collaborative release by the UK's PEOPLE LIKE US (aka VICKY BENETT)
and THE JET BLACK HAIR PEOPLE (member of NEGATIVLAND and the "Over The
Edge"-radioshows) from the USA, recorded live in San Francisco in 1998 and
reconfigured for CD issue without utilizing any overdubs or rerecordings.
Dada resamplings and reshufflings of so-called Easy Listening music and
Alpine yodelling LPs are recurrent themes, as is the use of intercepted
radio broadcasts gutted and completely recontextualized. The spirit of
plunderphonia is a consistent thread through this unique collaboration.
