Actually, there is a line of ACID loops CDs that are marketed as being by
specific artists. I see this as similar to the vinyl put out by groups
like the Invisbl Skratch Picklz that is specifically for turntablists to
use in competition. I think (hope!) that this will indeed become a more
and more prevalent way for sound designers and manipulators to share their
work and possibly even get paid for it. I know I have several gigs of
loops and samples that could easily get put out on CD....
