we're way off topic here. unless you want to focus on the
"open" aspect of linux, i don't see that further discussion
on this topic is appropriate here.

(tho i should note that apparently someone actually
subscribed just so they could chime in on the subject. hmm.)

there are lots of other forums where you can debate
endlessly the relative potential of various operating
systems. go there.

i will say though, in answer to the question, that "never"
is a long long time. :-)
