lloyd,

being in a similar situation, i have been looking for places to store
files. while the days of free net stuff seems to be going away.... i
just got a note from IUMA that Illegal Art was approved (and for my
test IUMA page i uploaded something that obviously samples
Metallica). i think i can now upload as many files as i want. i
know mp3.com is uptight, but there are other sources where you can
store mp3 files that have samples. and i just tested that i can do
outside links on detritus to the mp3 file on the IUMA server (and
they also create streaming files from the mp3 you upload)....

"Here we are in the age of communications, and never have we been more
alienated, more lonely. We've become a society of screens, of layers
that keep us from knowing the truth, as if the truth were unbearable,
too much for us to deal with - like our feelings. So we deal with
things through replications, through copying, through screens,
through facsimiles, through fiction and faction."
