Re: [rumori] cleared?

I think that the record is in fact not by Cypress Hill. I am
guessing that it is a third party, one-off record (notice the
catalog number, a here-today-gone-tomorrow label plan for sure).
I think that this record's producer is just going back to all
the sources that Cypress Hill sampled, resampling those beats and
making long instrumental tracks of just those beats and pressed it
up as a one-off for djs to play with.
Imagine that they are building rough versions of the Cypress Hill
instrumentals. I have several records in this vein that have
nothing to do with the original artists and often the breakdowns and
extra sounds in the mix are absent (not imitated).

One reason I suspect this is because the only real mention of
Cypress Hill is in the description, which is not going to get them
in trouble with Cypress Hill. Calling the LP "Cypress Beats", the
label "Cypress" I bet this is vinyl only, as it wouldn't really
have a market as a cd.

Based on experience handling lots of dj-oriented vinyl, that is my
interpretation of the record. Even if this record doesn't have
clearance with the original artists, I suspect they were only
worried about avoiding Cypress Hill's attention. C.Hill could
possibly have clearance for their own use(s) of those samples for
their original albums.
