Reading Breton, it seems like he considers reality a metaphor for the place
we go in dreams. He actually seems to consider that place "the real world"
and that he's a butterfly dreaming he's a monk.

I don't have the book with me, but I think Mr. Andre considered analysis
just translation of the "dream" world into the language of the "real" and
therefore a banal pointless activity, or I'm just talking out my ear and I
don't know what the hell he's talking about. (Anyway, firing a revolver
into a parade strikes me as extremely rude at best. Strangely, I was just
thinking about that this morning)
